White Rice (Arroz Blanco)

Same preparation as our regular rice just omit the tomato. I like making this rice when ever I’m making fish for my family or when grilling some chicken for dinner. But this is a good rice dish to side with any main meal.

You will need:

  1. 2 cups Rice
  2. 1 corn on the cob
  3. 1/4 cup of scallions
  4. 1 1/2 TBS Knorr Seasoning
  5. 2 TBS of oil for frying
  6. 4 Cups of water

 

Slice the corn off the cob and set aside.

 

Add oil to the pan and fry the rice for about 5 minutes. Then you will add the corn and the scallions, fry for another 5 minutes. Remember, keep stirring so the rice doesn’t burn.

Once the frying is done, its time to add the water.  Let it come to a boil and add the Knorr Seasoning, stir and do a taste test. Add more if needed. Cover and lower heat to a low simmer. Leave simmering for 20 minutes WITHOUT peeking. Once the timer is up, open and fluff with a fork. Trust me, if you can manage the entire 20 minutes without peeking you will always have perfect rice.
