Oven Shrimp Boil

Everyone that knows me knows that I don’t eat much seafood. Therefore I haven’t tried, scallion, crab legs, lobster tails, etc. I can’t say with certainty that I don’t like seafood because I have not given many dishes a try, but I promise that I will try my best to try them soon.  That’s why for this boil bag I only added Shrimp.

First time I tried this dish I fell in love with it, and to my surprise so did my daughter, so for that I’m going to thank and give credit to BLovesLife from YouTube for her famous butter sauce. I stumbled upon her page one day when I was searching seafood boils. Since the butter sauce recipe requires many ingredients I’ll have to share the recipe on a different post, but I’ll link straight from here once I have it ready.  This boil is done in two steps not including the butter sauce, I’ll add everything needed on this first list, then I’ll break them up as soon as I jump from first step to second step.

You will need:

  1. 2 lbs. Shrimp Peeled and deveined
  2. 12 Red potatoes
  3. 5 Corn on the cob
  4. 2 Butter Sticks
  5. 1 Onion
  6. 2 tsp divided of garlic paste
  7. 2 lemons
  8. 1 tsp ginger paste
  9. 1 Sausage packet Sliced
  10. 1 Packet Ranch Seasoning mix
  11. 1 1/2 TBS Cajun Seasoning
  12. 1 1/2 TBS Parsley Flakes
  13. 2 TBS Olive Oil
  14.  Spicy Butter Sauce

Before this dish goes in the oven we need to boil the corn and the potatoes.

Add enough water to a pot and bring to a boil adding 1 Butter stick, 1 lemon Sliced, half of the onion, ginger and garlic paste. Once the water starts to boil you will add the corn and cover letting it boil for another 5 minutes.


Add the potatoes and boil again covered for another 5 minutes. You don’t want the potatoes fully cooked because they still need to go through the oven.


Pre Heat the over at 350*F


Now that the corn and the potatoes are ready you need to transfer them to a big bowl to add the remaining ingredients.

To a large bowl add the potatoes, corn, sausage, shrimp, ranch seasoning, Cajun seasoning, parsley flakes, garlic paste and olive oil. Mix well.

Transfer to a baking dish and add pieces of butter using half a stick. Cover with aluminum foil. Place in the oven for 20 minutes.


All you need to do is serve this with some spicy butter sauce for dipping and you’ve got a hit.
