Spicy Butter Sauce

This is BLOVESLIFE famous Butter sauce.  If you still don’t know who she is, I strongly recommend that you go check her channel out. I have tried this sauce many times just the way she prepares it and I love it. I have tried it as well with a few changes to fit my preference and I love it both ways. I have changed some ingredients and I have removed others. But before you start adding or removing anything, first make it her way because that will give you an idea of what you like and what you don’t. I personally did remove the salt from this recipe because I think some of the ingredients that we are using have a bit of salt in them. But by all means, if you think that salt is needed than go ahead and add it.  I guarantee that regardless of the way you make this sauce, you will love it. Lets get started.

Don’t get overwhelmed by the amount of ingredients that are needed, most of these spices we already have in our pantry.

You will need:

  • 1 tsp Cajun spice mix
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 1 tsp black pepper
  • 2 tsp cayenne pepper
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • 1 tsp oregano
  • 1 tsp lemon pepper
  • 1 tsp crushed red pepper
  • 1 tsp chili powder
  • 2 tsp old bay seasoning
  • 1 tsp lemon juice freshly squeezed
  • 1 tsp tabasco sauce
  • 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tsp brown sugar
  • 1 onion med size (chopped)
  • 1 tsp minced ginger
  • 3-5 sticks of unsalted butter
  • 1-2 cups of low sodium chicken broth
  • 15-20 garlic cloves

Put all the dry ingredients in a large bowl, Cajun spice, garlic powder, lemon pepper, paprika, black pepper, cayenne powder, onion powder, oregano, crushed red pepper, chili powder, old bay seasoning and brown sugar, mix and set aside.

Chop the onion to your cut preference, either in small pieces or in half moons. I like mine in small pieces so I can get a tiny pieces of everything when I dip my food inside. I finely chop the garlic because I like mine very tiny, but that is just my preference. You can even chop up the onion along with the garlic in a food processor for a few pulses and you are done. All up to you. Place these in a bowl and set aside.

Preheat a large pan on medium heat. Melt one stick of butter and add the garlic, onions and the minced ginger, cook until onion is translucent, for about 4-5 minutes and then you add the remaining sticks of butter to melt.

Once they have melted you will add the Worcestershire sauce, tabasco sauce and minced ginger.  Mix well and add the dry ingredients. Add the lemon juice and add one cup of the chicken broth, continue to mix until you bring the sauce to a boil. If this sauce is thick for your liking you can add more broth to the sauce and let it boil again. *I almost always use only one cup for the 4 sticks of butter.

Turn off the heat and you are done. This is the part where you decide how you want to use this amazing sauce.
