I love rice in general, I love cooking rice because I know that if I have any leftovers I’m always able to make a new dish with what I have left. In my house I must have it handy because it goes with almost every meal that I prepare. Just depends what I’m cooking for dinner to determine what type of rice I have to make. Here is a very delicious white rice recipe that you can combine with chicken or with fish.
You will need:
- 2 Cups Jasmine rice
- 1 Cup Frozen Veggies
- 1/2 cup Bell pepper
- 1 TBSP Butter
- 1 TBSP Knorr
- 2 TBSP Oil
Add the oil to the heated pan and add the rice. Fry for about 3 minutes then add the bell pepper and fry again for another 3 minutes. Add the butter and when it melts you will add the frozen veggies. Mix for about 2-3 more minutes and add the water.
Always remember the water to rice ratio. 1 cup rice 2 cups water.
Let the water come to a boil and add the knorr. Mix well and do a taste test. If more salt is needed add more knorr but only a little at a time. Once this has reached your liking for salt then its time to cover, lower the heat to simmer and let it do its magic for 18-20 minute. Once you cover DO NOT open!
Fluff with a fork and enjoy!
