Green Bean Casserole

This dish quickly became a Thanksgiving favorite. We all want quick and easy and this dish is one of those.

Prep time: 10 minutes      Cook time: 35 minutes

You will need:

  • 2 cans of green beans
  • 1/2 of a red bell pepper (chopped)
  • 1 can Cream of mushroom
  • 1 1/2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 cup of milk
  • 1 1/2 cups French’s Fried Onions
  • Baking dish
  • Aluminum foil (enough to cover the baking dish)

Preheat the oven 350 degree Fahrenheit

Drain and rinse the green beans. Add the green beans to a baking dish along with the chopped bell pepper, cheddar cheese, cream of mushroom, 1 cup of the fried onions and the milk. Mix everything well.

Cover with aluminum foil and bake for 35 minutes. Mix the 1/2 cup of cheese and the 1/2 cup of fried onion and set aside.  Five minutes before the casserole is done take out and add the mixture of cheese and fried onions over the top and without covering place it back in the oven and bake for the remaining 5 minutes.

This will become a dinner favorite!
