If quick and delicious is what you are looking for then this recipe is one of those. Easy to make and completely satisfying. This is a big deal when it comes to Thanksgiving. I must have extra because everyone eats seconds.
You will need:
- 4 Boxes Stove Top
- 4 Stick Celery (Chopped)
- 4 Carrots (Chopped)
- 1 medium Onion (Chopped)
- 4 Potatoes (Chopped)
- 1 1/2 Cup Thick Ham (Chopped and Fried)
- 1 1/2 Cup Bacon (Chopped and Fried)
- 1 Stick of Butter
- 1 1/2 cup water per box (6 cups)
Prep Time: 30 minutes Cook Time: 30 minutes Total Time: 1 Hour
Pre heat the oven to 350ºF
Fry the ham and bacon separately and set aside. I like to fry the bacon first so I can use that bacon oil for all the frying that I still need to do. I fry the bacon first, remove and add the ham, fry it and set aside. now, in this oil I add all my chopped veggies. But this step it’s totally up to you.
Make sure you chop all the veggies to you preference size. Once everything is ready to go, you will get a very large pan. The bigger the better so you can mix everything with ease.
Add some oil to the pan and fry the potatoes, carrots, celery, onion, ham and bacon for about 10 minutes.
Now add the butter and the Stove Top. Mix well until the butter melts. Add the water that is needed according to the box directions and to the amount of boxes that were used.
Cook this for about 10 minutes and then add the stuffing mix to a baking dish and cover with aluminum foil. Bake for 30 minutes.
