A very traditional and well-known dinner dish that no one will say no to.
You will need:
- 2 Boxes Elbow Pasta
- 1/2 cup Butter
- 1/2 cup Flour
- 4 cups Milk
- 2 cups Sharp Cheddar Cheese
- 2 Cups Mozzarella Cheese
- 1 1/2 cup Parmesan Cheese (save 1/2 cup for later)
- 1/2 tbsp Black Pepper
- 1/2 cup Breadcrumbs
Pre heat oven at 350ºF
Cook the pasta following the instructions on the box. Once ready, set aside.
Melt the butter in a deep pan and add the flour.
Cook until you get a thick paste. Add the milk.
Season with the black pepper and add the cheddar, mozzarella and 1 cup parmesan cheese. Turn the heat to low.
Keep stirring until the cheese melts. Now its time to get creative, you can add bacon bits, you can add small pieces of ham, or you can just leave it as is. Remove from heat and put the cooked pasta on a baking dish and add the cheese mixture and mix well.
Add a layer of breadcrumbs and parmesan cheese. Cover with aluminum foil and bake for 20-25 minutes, or until the top is golden brown.
