Similar to Sopes, these Pellizcadas are a popular mexican appetizer. Super easy to make and quick to prepare. They can be eaten alone, as an appetizer or as a full meal with side dishes.
You will need:
- (ready for tortillas)
- Refried beans
- Pickled Cabbage
- Fresh salsa
- Oil for frying
- Tortilla press
- Griddle (comal)
Start by making small balls with the masa. Press thicker than a tortilla.
Cook them on the comal first for 2-3 minutes on each side.
Remove from the comal and pinch them all over while they are still hot.
Heat some oil in a pan and start to fry them.
Spread the pellizcada with beans, top with cabbage and salsa. Serve by themselves or serve them with rice.
