Similar to Sopes, these Pellizcadas are a popular mexican appetizer. Super easy to make and quick to prepare. They can be eaten alone, as an appetizer or as a full meal with side dishes.

You will need:

Start by making small balls with the masa. Press thicker than a tortilla.

Cook them on the comal first for 2-3 minutes on each side.

Remove from the comal and pinch them all over while they are still hot.

Heat some oil in a pan and start to fry them.

Spread the pellizcada with beans, top with cabbage and salsa. Serve by themselves or serve them with rice.

The toppings are completely up to you. Cotija cheese, fresh cheese, sour cream, lettuce, guacamole, pico de gallo, etc. The possibilities are endless.
