What better way to combine two of my favorite dishes, Rice and chorizo. This recipe does not come from my moms kitchen but rather from a very good friend and co-worker. As soon as she gave me the recipe, I went home and made it. First one to try it was my daughter and she loved it. If you are like me and like chorizo and like rice then give yourself the chance to try this rice dish at least once. You will like it so much that you will definitely cook it again.
You will need:
- 1 Cup Chorizo
- 2 Cups Rice
- 2 TBSP Knorr
- 1/2 Cup Green Onions
- 3 TBSP Oil for frying
- 4 1/4 Cups Water
Add some oil to deep pan and add the chorizo, cook for about 5 minutes until it breaks up completely. Add the rice and fry for another 5-6 minutes.
Add water and let it come to a boil. Add Knorr and the green onion. Cover and simmer for 20 minutes.
When the 20 minutes are up open and fluff.
